# Rootmark

> The verifiable index for the Portaldot V3 chain. One query across EVM and ink! events, every result carries a Merkle proof you check against an on-chain root.

Rootmark indexes both execution environments of the Portaldot V3 chain (chain 420420777):
- EVM (Solidity logs) via eth_getBlockByNumber + eth_getTransactionReceipt
- WASM / ink! (pallet_contracts) via system.events

Each record is normalised to one EventRecord { vm, chainId, blockNumber, blockHash, txHash, contract, event, args, leaf }. Leaves are keccak256(canonicalJson(record)). Batches are Merkle trees; the root is anchored in PortalAnchor.sol on the EVM and verifiable in the browser with /api/v1/proof/:id.
